How can a postpartum doula help you?

Hands - On Help
Postpartum doulas offer a helping hand during the early weeks of adjusting to having a new family member. This includes caring for your baby to allow you a chance to engage in self care - whether that is a hot meal, a shower, or a nap.
Hands on help includes light house work, including help with your newborn's laundry, washing bottles and pump parts, and more.

Emotional & Feeding Support
As your doula, I am a non-judgemental listening ear. Together, we will plan for your postpartum before your baby is born, and we will set you and your family up for a restful postpartum experience.
As a lactation counselor, you will have help with feeding, whether you are breast/chestfeeding, formula feeding, or a combination of both.
I am equipped to support your whole family through welcoming your newest member.

Education & Resources
Postpartum support includes resources and evidence based information about newborns, parenting, and postpartum to help you as you make decisions for your family.
I also provide referrals to local providers who specialize in pregnancy, postpartum, and newborns.

Lactation Education
2 hour personalized class taught virtually to give you the background knowledge for a strong breast/chestfeeding start
Postpartum Planning Meeting
1 hour virtual planning meeting to discuss postpartum and newborn care and develop your postpartum plan, a flexible outline for your preferences once your baby arrives.
Six 4 hour Shifts of Postpartum Support
In person, hands on support in your home after your baby is born

Lactation Consult
Consultation in your home to assess latch, positioning, and any breast/chestfeeding challenges
Lactation Support
Continued breast/chestfeeding support for the duration of our contract, plus two weeks of virtual text/video call support following the end of the contract
